Best site builder on the market, affordable and pretty nimble for starting and running a business today online. It helps small teams move fast, save money, and grow. We checked out Wix and Wix Studio, and both fit our needs well. Their wide set of site tools, payments, marketing, etc., comes cheap compared with options like Squarespace, Webflow, etc. They cover many areas, so we saved some money and time too. Learning was quick thanks to their how-to videos and a large community plus YouTube clips, and so on. People shared tips, fixes, and easy tricks we could use. There is one snag, about changing the checkout page if Wix handles memberships, since it stays tied to the built-in Wix payments. You could set up a custom pricing page, cards, checkout, and even bring in a separate provider like Stripe, but the member area may stay different because Stripe runs it as a third party. Still, it is a solid choice for kicking off an online business with strong connections and room to grow, and it beats plain sales funnels in many cases. If you plan long-term, pick Wix for sure.

For our restaurant, ordering system sits on Wix Restaurants, and it’s been really a mess since Wix rolled out their AI Marketing tools. Overnight the checkout crashed — customers see “Couldn’t calculate order fees” and can’t place order. We’ve lost thousands in revenue and hundreds of customers, yet there’s no real support or escalation path. We removed every conflicting Wix app (Blog, FAQ, Marketing AI) and followed all guides, but the system remains broken. Wix’s silence is unacceptable. Restaurant owners: beware — Wix Restaurants looks great until it fails, and when it does, you’re on your own. We’re now moving to another platform that actually values reliability and customer support. We have documented pictures, customer complaints and issues that is unresolved fully every exhausted option possible.

Easy To Use But Has Limitations
Navigating the site is easy. My only tip is to allow more than 15 photos on each page. I carry several lines with over 15 color choices, so I must split them across several pages to show every option. That would make listing easier and faster overall for me.

Its a pity loyalty from customers never seems to matter here. Its a solid, usable tool to build a site, yet they bill for EVERYTHING! I'm kind of stuck now, since my brand site has sat on the wix platform since 2020, and every request from different languages, to sending more than 10 emails, they... I'm kind of stuck now, since my brand site has sat on the wix platform since 2020, and every request from different languages, to sending more than 10 emails, they will squeeze a fee out of it. Its sad to see, and I'm trapped with them; if not for all these charges for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, I would rate them five stars. The support chat hides fees, and the contracts change when you sign up, these days.

If I could, I'd give ZERO stars!!!
At first I joined a premium plan on the standard Wix site. After paying, before I ever used or published my site, I found the newer Wix Studio. I phoned their support and asked if I could move my premium over to Studio since I hadn't used the old one yet and would pay any extra. At first, a suppo... I phoned their support and asked if I could move my premium over to Studio since I hadn't used the old one yet and would pay any extra. At first, a support rep said it could work and that my unused credit would show up automatically or that I could get a partial refund if needed. But after following their steps, I saw no credit show, and the process didn't go as they described. When I messaged again, another rep gave me a different answer, saying that once the first 14 days passed, refunds or credits couldn't be added. Totally different from the first reply, and it felt like a SCAM. In the end, they stopped replying, leaving me with a paid plan I never used and no way to move it, plus the mixed messages and no follow-through were very annoying. I just wanted a simple switch, but the whole thing felt messy, with slow replies and confusing rules, and I ended up losing trust in their process entirely anyway.
