They did not honor it. Soon after, one tire got a hole, and I was promised a replacement at little or no cost. They told me online purchases aren't in-store eligible, so I should buy another tire. I bought thinking I would get my money back soon, or that the warranty would cover something. In-store staff said online would refund me. Online support said the store should have given me the money. So much back and forth that I call it a loss. I told them to cancel my Walmart+ membership, and if I must pay more elsewhere, I'll do it because I won't shop at Walmart anymore. I'm someone who orders big things every week and I have receipts to prove it!!! Bye and good riddance, for real!

Online fraud and deception

When I search for a item online, I usually see a price that seems fair and often compares well with other shops, and one price that stands out. The page often shows a higher price bolded, with that higher price crossed out, like a discount. A note under it says "Price when purchased online." I know it may look reasonable on paper, but it feels like a trick to let Walmart compete with other large online stores that run differently. The issue is a bait and switch: you are pulled in by the nice price and told to buy from Walmart. Since Walmart's main draw is the chance to shop nearby and take the item home the same day, trouble comes when you want that option and follow it through. When you try to buy the item locally at the ad price, the staff tell you the discount only applies online - which, to be fair, is noted on the item page - but you cannot buy online there and pick it up at the store. No. It must be sent to your home. It cannot even be sent to the store for pickup later. This is something me and my wife have heard more than once. Is this really the policy? I am not sure. So, in our case, we wanted an item and went to the store to buy it. Of course, they said you cannot buy at the store at the advertised price and would need to buy online to get the $30 savings. So we left and bought the item from Walmart's big rival and got it in two days. This practice feels unfair and very deceptive. While they may want to compete with that other online retailer directly, it is not okay to do so while keeping the same brick-and-mortar name and model. If they want an online presence as a remote seller and shipper, they should run that under a different brand name, not the same store. Under their current rules, they give an apparent edge to the Walmart shopping trip that really isn't there. The main fault is the customer cannot buy the item at the discounted price without going remote, shipping it, and paying for time, gas, and the hassle. This is not only stupid, but hurts Walmart's profits and investor faith as a basic retailer serving the real public. I plan to file with the Federal Trade Commission, accusing Walmart of false advertising and unfair business practices.

Walmart Steals Customer Financial Information

On 10/17 I grabbed groceries and paid with my card. Checking my bank app on 10/18, I saw the same purchase charged twice, each with its own number. Today I went back to the store (10/18), headed straight to the help desk. At first they argued there weren’t two charges, so I pulled up the app and showed them both entries. Then they guessed one was maybe pending; I pointed out how pending shows up in gray with a label under it. Those charges were not pending! One clerk from Customer Service took my receipt to the back, saying she’d find the person who rang it yesterday. After about ten minutes away, she returned. She claimed the ledger shows only one entry. So I opened the app again and highlighted that the two charges each have separate transaction IDs. Then she said, “You should call your bank and file a dispute, then our Financial Services will look into it.” It shouldn’t be this hard to spot a double charge, but I hear this Walmart has a history of misusing customer data and staff using it to steal from the store. The store is at 3350 Princess Anne Road in Norfolk, VA. Fix this! Please fix this mess now before more people get charged, because this double billing is a real problem here.

Don't bother paying for Walmart+ for…

Skip paying for Walmart+ if you want free delivery. They miss every delivery window. They set a date and never follow through. If you can't find items in stores, go somewhere else and save your time.

I had to get a new esim because mine disappeared, and that esim is the whole phone service, so without it the phone is just useless. So I picked one up at Walmart, popped it in, then tried to activate it. Cricket wireless says they will text a code, which should work, but since the esim wasn't linked to service yet, I couldn't receive that text from them. So next day, when Cricket was open, I stopped by for help. The clerk helping me said they couldn't do anything because that exact esim was in use, and I needed to go back to Walmart for help. Walmart couldn't help either; no refund given, and Cricket wouldn't refund either. So I ended up buying another one directly from Cricket so my service would be usable again. I feel like both places wasted my time and the ten dollars I spent on that esim. Neither company would refund me, so they just kept my money. I juggled day trying to sort it out, asking the people there to please clear line or swap it for a new one, but nothing changed. I walked out with no help and less money left at the end.

That big store is slipping away, since they ruined themselves with HORRIBLE help and lazy, untrained workers who have 0 business sense, customer care, and even basic math or computer skills, and they can't fill a simple $25 online order right!! All they want is to grab everyone's cash!! Their shelves are half the size now, and prices shot up by 100%!! I WILL NEVER shop there again, and I just got ripped off with a gift card AGAIN!! There is ALWAYS a problem every single time I shop there, and then I end up filing complaints for weeks, and they do NOTHING to fix the issues after all that anyway!! I say everyone should do the same, quit using them, so they fail! The American people deserve a million times better!!! We need new discount stores that are way better in every way!!! Let customers vote with their wallets and walk away.

Smooth shopping experience

Last week I bought a few items from Walmart, and they all arrived on time and in good shape. The checkout was quick, prices were fair, and the delivery updates were accurate. All in all, a solid experience!

Slow Walmart service

Items were easy to find at Walmart, but service was slow. They eventually resolved my issue after a wait, but I still left disappointed.

It took three tries for them to see the ship-to was where the grill should go, after lots of back and forth. They said they'd credit my account, but no credit hit my Amex, and they claimed the $95 assembly fee was 'between me and the third party assembler'. I did not hire any third party to assemble and Walmart charged the fee to my Amex. This is the worst service I have ever seen, really, honestly.

Delivery Driver stole my order

Online order placed, and the courier stole it! In Anchorage, Alaska, near South Anchorage Walmart. Luckily the online help desk could refund me fast, but the drivers they use are all crooks when they show up. Hope this helps others avoid problems.

Rolled up to grab the basics, but the aisles were bare, the shop a mess, and the staff looked zoned out. Tried ordering online instead— package late, half the stuff not there. Whole scene felt nuts, dude, for real.

Bought a large Samsung TV from Walmart.com for over $800, tax included, with free delivery. I picked a Sunday delivery slot since I could be home to sign for it. Later I found out the carrier Walmart uses does not run on weekends, so my order pushed to Tuesday. The carrier says 2–5 business days to deliver, even though the TV came from a distribution center only about 35 miles away. I paid $100 to have someone wait and another ready to install, but when it finally arrived, it was damaged, and they also did not show at the scheduled time. I called Walmart customer service several times about the delivery, and after getting the return on 10/14/25 because it was damaged. On October 15, 2025, I called again to see if the replacement could be sent to a local store so I could pick it up, but they said no since it is a replacement and they can only use my address for the original order. They would not use another carrier to keep delivery smooth. This whole experience has been frustrating and disappointing. The misleading delivery details, weekend service advertised but not provided, and the long wait for a replacement caused extra cost and hassle. At this rate, what should have been a birthday gift might become a Christmas gift. At least I now know to avoid Walmart.com, especially for big-ticket items, because they don’t seem to care. Now I'm left with an awkward gift swap, extra fees, and a sour memory about online orders, since promised weekend help never showed up in reality, making every step feel pointless.

Quit giving it one star, it isn’t cool. I like shopping at Walmart, but the site showed no AI, yet it felt fine. Please quit judging it. 1.7 stars isn’t cool. I still like Walmart, though.
