I'm upset, seeing them try to take from hardworking Americans every day!

On April 30, 2025, my checking and savings were hacked. The fraud team answered with one call, asking a few questions. I sent them many screenshots of what happened in my accounts. I lost $7000 plus another $1100 Social Security check; they issued a provisional credit. The investigation dragged o... On April 30, 2025, my checking and savings were hacked. The fraud team answered with one call, asking a few questions. I sent them many screenshots of what happened in my accounts. I lost $7000 plus another $1100 Social Security check; they issued a provisional credit. The investigation dragged on for weeks, but I heard nothing from the person in charge. Then I got a letter saying there was no fraud and I must return the provisional money, which was all I had saved. I later found out there was a data breach at US Bank in early April 2025 affecting several customers. I never got any warning about a data breach. They wrote that I benefited from the transactions, with no fraud found. I have since closed my accounts and tell others to be careful, because they do not protect customers money. And the whole fraud process is below par, to say the least. That lack of follow up left me stressed and out of pocket. I kept calling but never spoke to the same agent. These delays hurt financially and made me doubt their care for customers.
Honestly, this American bank feels stuck in the past. Revolut and other fresh fintechs will outpace it easily. There’s no simple or cheap option to move funds overseas — the charges are ridiculous. I’m living abroad and just want to send money to the EU, but this bank makes that almost impossible... Honestly, this American bank feels stuck in the past. REQUIRED TO MOVE FROM WISELY TO USBANK BY WORK. THE REPS ARE AWFUL. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL, VERY TRULY DISAPPOINTING.

Epic Fail- Trying to use my money-…
Epic mess- tried to move my money, simple transfer. Hours passed, over 1 1/2 hrs, 8 agents, 4 calls dropped. Not even close to done. And wait- 'they only take inbound calls, they can't call you back when the line drops' Seriously, how do I escalate this? I will move ALL of my banking elsewhere.

Don’t trust this bank
Don’t rely on this bank. Avoid them for your money needs. If you get scammed or hacked, or fraud hits you, they won’t help, and you’ll feel scammed all over again. They never stand with customers.

$100 Statement Credit-Not so fast…
US Bank sent a promo: spend more than $10 in a $50 deal and you get a $100 statement credit. I called the number they listed to see when the credit would show. The rep didn't know anything about the offer, and of course, no credit appeared. I can't believe US Bank runs these scams anyway

Screwed Me Twice! Closing it!
Trying to end my relationship with this bank on Monday. This is the second mess they caused with my funds. The first mess happened years back. I had automatic payments set to come on the due date every month. Then they claimed I paid it online again by mistake. Seriously? Why would I do that like... So my checking got overdrawn after they took a second payment for the same amount. My bank hit me with overdraft fees. I stopped using this card for a while, then started using it again last year because of my miles. On October 14, 2025, I paid off the whole balance. It was a big bill for flooring safety. I kept wondering why the account balance didn’t go down. I waited three days because they say it can take 1–3 days. Then I opened the app and they slapped me with a returned-fee since the checking was supposedly closed. I had an auto pay on the due date, but I paid the full amount. I spoke to customer service and they told me the account is closed. I do not recommend this bank!

I wish I could give 0 stars. They shut my account for using it too much, while every payment stayed on time. It takes forever to reach a person on the phone. What a mess this turned into, I guess. These folks cashed a Canadian check from a law firm trust. Rock solid, they said; they even gave me full access to the funds. I should have pulled out and walked away. But I trusted a real business, right? Dugh!!! I started using other bank money on key proj... What a mess this turned into, I guess. But I trusted a real business, right? Dugh!!! I started using other bank money on key projects, keeping this on standby. Yikes. I linked my accounts to move cash back and forth. I figured these folks were alert and honest for years. They probably used plaid to link accounts, which was 100% safe and took a few minutes. Not for U.S. bank, which clings to old ways of adding small deposits to external banks over days. It’s up to us to log in, write the numbers, and verify them in the U.S. bank. Really smooth, and not annoying at all! Why did we ever keep the only express option? Four days after the $14k deposit, they pulled the funds back and said it would be held for ten days. No phone call. No email. Just all of my money gone. Two days later, us bank returned the original check to my home address (look for it in 7-10 business days). They said the check had failed inspection despite being backed by a trust account. Then they charged me $36 for being overdrawn, among many other problems. The capper: they literally told me to re-cash it and see what happens. UPDATE Hard to believe this could get any worse, right? It turns out the clerk at U.S. Bank deposited the check in the WRONG CURRENCY. That's why it was rejected. There was no reason to put it on hold. It was never going to go through as USD. U.S. Bank could have remedied this in two minutes and fixed the problem for me. But no. Better to return the check to me (haven't seen it!) and wash their hands as if they were following some policy. The check was written by a Canadian Bank. The default currency is CAD. If U.S. Bank doesn't know that, how can you trust them to manage your finances? Bottom line: I want my money back and a fix. If a Canadian check can be misfiled here, what else will go wrong? I learned to watch every transfer now, and I tell friends to steer clear of this place until they fix their currency game and respect customers' money. Do not trust them for your own sake.

Today I finished a call with support. The woman I spoke to was the rudest, most unhelpful, and condescending agent I've ever dealt with. I asked for another person to talk to, and she said no one could help me at all. ???

Horrible customer service the automated…
Terrible customer support here, the automated system is awful. Had to dial 3 times to reach the right person, and the wait felt endless. No surprise people are quitting this bank and all those branches closing up across the country for good, it seems.

Preapproval for a car loan from US Bank was my start, and I found a ride I liked. The dealer got the forms ready to hand to US Bank, and I did my part. The staff would take my down payment but would not hand me the check for the car they preapproved me for. They wouldn't even glance at the docs. ... This bank is really the worst I’ve seen. I paid off my card with a loan service and they sent too much. US Bank owes me $86 for the extra and said I must verify to get the check mailed. They connected me to a line that rang for 45 minutes and no one answered. I also paid off my mortgage. I didn’t... This bank is really the worst I’ve seen. They connected me to a line that rang for 45 minutes and no one answered. I also paid off my mortgage. I didn’t receive any payoff email or update. I had to call to learn they owed me another $79 and they will mail me a check for that. Their customer service is poor. They have long waits on the phone and most people you talk to don’t actually want to help, they just transfer you. Overall for both card and mortgage this bank falls short. Use someone else and be glad you did. Dealing with them cost me many calls and hours, and I regret trusting this bank with more money in the end.
