Ordering online left me wary; I’d rather pay extra for faster shipping than be stuck with no option to return if I’m unhappy. That return fee is just too steep. Shop floors could feel warmer. I know the goods are pricey, but the crew comes off as snobby instead of friendly, which spoils the shopp... If you swing by this spot, ask for him, he knows a lot and shares practical feedback on every piece. I was hoping to see a Chanel purse, and he laid out all the details, making my visit feel special. The whole experience was above what I expected, and I left feeling confident about my choice. I would recommend it.
Price really went out of his way to make sure we got the best help possible. He answered every question we had and came up with fixes for all the things we asked for.

home pick up + easy returns
nice helper who stopped by my place to grab clothes. She was great! I bought seven gowns, found the ideal one, and returns were smooth and easy. Love that. I just wish shipping could move a bit faster than it does!

No shopping without signing in online
Signing up just to view their shop online feels awful. Before any purchase, it's one of the worst experiences. They seem more about charging you than letting you see what's offered to you.

I’m pretty pleased with this buy, since Chanel isn’t new to me and I’ve shopped The Real Real many times before. The only rough moment came from the woman assisting me, she kept saying 'we close in 5 minutes' in a tense voice that felt pushy. When a purse that costs thousands is on the line, you ... When a purse that costs thousands is on the line, you don’t want to feel hurried or like you’re a nuisance, especially if the staff act like there’s somewhere more important. The bag had just been brought out from the back, and it had come to Melrose from the Chicago store. That whole moment felt distasteful, and I hope no other shopper gets that treatment from another employee. Still, item looks nice, feels sturdy, and I’m glad I bought it.
I'd never shopped there before, and this was my first time buying a designer piece. I treated it as a birthday gift to myself from an event marking Clueless's 30th anniversary. The next day, when the post went live, I hurried in to try it on and used Affirm to buy. The staff were all very helpful... Later online I grabbed some Gucci sunglasses and a Versace purse, and they shipped. One gripe is that the cart only keeps items for 20 minutes before they cycle out, so I kept retrying until I could visit the store. I get why, but I think it should stay longer. Definitely I plan to buy more items. The event plus the new pieces made the day feel special, and I left ready to keep shopping at that store again soon.
