DON'T OPEN ACCOUNT WITH THEM IF DONT WANT TO REGRET IT
Honestly, I wish someone would skip opening a bank account there after reading these bad notes . This bank's services feel stuck in the 1800s . Even for alerts, you pay extra on top of the monthly fees ! No updates show what's going on with my account unless I buy an alarm service and pay for it ... I'm from a developing country, and their app makes me think developers back home are far better than those in richer places . The interface is plain and simple, like from the first days of apps . Even with a language option, nothing in the app actually changes . So if you want a real tip, stay away and don't open an account with sparkasse Really not impressed at all, to be honest. Save your time instead please.

Card payments never function
Very bad experience with online and offline card payments. You never know if you can pay. Trying to confirm the payment in two apps, but it never goes through. So really fed up with this!

rude staff there, if you miss two appointments because of work they reject you, nice try sparkase, you got ridiculous staff in neuehose, and ridiculous leadership they dont care lol about them anyway

Highly recommended!
My time with Sparkasse was nice while I studied abroad as an international student in Leipzig. When I opened the account, staff were nice and helpful.

KSK Kaiserslautern, the worst among other sparkasse.
Geez, here I go again with a busted coin machine. Shocking! And yeah, the staff act like they care but tell me to keep checking back. Cute trick — I’ll time my day around your broken gear. It’s your machine, part of your service, but somehow it’s suddenly my problem? Unbelievable. Maybe next time... Geez, here I go again with a busted coin machine. Shocking! I’ve had nice times at NASPA Wiesbaden and KSK Esslingen. Next time, I hope service matches the nicer places, please.

Useless bank
That bank is awful. Bad. Dad has been stuck there for 5 years and never got help with loans. They won't assist him. They even refused a card for my mom because she doesn't work, and I wait to pay online for months. I wasted 22 euros on that card, and it won't arrive. Dad got a loan after leaving ... That bank is awful. Bad. Dad has been stuck there for 5 years and never got help with loans. They won't assist him. What a useless place; I want my money back and to move away fast. Stay clear of the bank.

Horrible Serive
I couldn't log in to my Sparkasse app because of THEIR fault when I entered my card numbers, and support kept telling me to try again and again and to check everything is correct without any help.

Worst service and the most old…
Terrible service and the oldest bank around, their red tape is wild and the staff act like your problem aint theirs. I rang the help line since it's open for customers only a while. They left me waiting for 5 hours. When someone picked up, no real answers came, just told me to call again tomorrow... Terrible service and the oldest bank around, their red tape is wild and the staff act like your problem aint theirs. I rang the help line since it's open for customers only a while. Non-transparent fee practices at Sparkasse Karlsruhe
I am very disappointed with Sparkasse Karlsruhe. During a cash withdrawal at a third-party ATM, I was charged a fee without any clear upfront notice, and I found this unfair. According to § 675a ff. of the German Civil Code (BGB), a payment service provider is legally obligated to inform customer... I am very disappointed with Sparkasse Karlsruhe. During a cash withdrawal at a third-party ATM, I was charged a fee without any clear upfront notice, and I found this unfair. According to § 675a ff. of the German Civil Code (BGB), a payment service provider is legally obligated to inform customers of any charges prior to a payment. This clearly did not happen in my case. It is completely unacceptable for a bank like Sparkasse Karlsruhe to run with such non-transparent fee policies. This kind of conduct seriously erodes trust in fair and customer-oriented banking. I strongly advise anyone using Sparkasse to check their account activity closely and seek legal advice if needed.

Totally let down by how I was treated during my latest call with Sparkasse. I wish I could rate it zero stars. The way I was spoken to felt truly disrespectful and unfair. After more than ten years of backing you, I expected courtesy and respect, not rudeness and a patronizing tone. I will close my account as soon as I can. Shame on you, Sparkasse, for not valuing your customers. Goodbye, I won’t be back.

Transfers take 2 to 4 days, not cool! It’s 2025, this feels old school, slow as a snail and never quick today.

Yesterday, there were people pretending to be Sparkasse, they copied the Sparkasse page s-pushtan, stole my bank details and took 2250 euros from my account. I went to the Sparkasse Langen Selingenstadt branch today to ask for help to get my money back or block the transfer, but no one helped me,... I went to the Sparkasse Langen Selingenstadt branch today to ask for help to get my money back or block the transfer, but no one helped me, they were unprepared and didn't offer me any help. I've been trying to ask for help for my case since yesterday and it's crazy that no one in your bank tries to help me or explain what I should do in this case. they can steal us so easily and absolutely nothing is done by the bank or the police. I am really shocked.

Poor service by bank
They offer really bad service, even after charging for being a holder. A month has passed and I still haven't got my atm card; every time I go there they tell me it will come in a week or two. It is awful and unsatisfactory service. Try another bank if you value your time. With no apology.

On our Italian holiday this year, someone stole more than a thousand euros from our card. We blocked the card online the same Sunday. The next day we called Sparkasse support. The agent said that if the transfer wasn't started by us, we could get our money back. We went to the Italian police stat... The agent said that if the transfer wasn't started by us, we could get our money back. We went to the Italian police station, which was a truly awful experience — they didn't speak English or German, so we gave them full details about the man who took our money. The police opened a report and we sent all papers to Sparkasse. But, to our surprise, Sparkasse refused to return the money, with no reason given. So here are questions: why did we waste two days of vacation at the police station? Why would Sparkasse refuse a refund if we didn't start the transfer? What is going on with Sparkasse service? I was a Sparkasse client for twenty years, and now I may need a lawyer. Finally, I will have to switch banks. Unbelievable today!

Sparkasse is a good bank in itself but…
Sparkasse is a nice bank by itself but real-time payments hardly work, and some accounts lock up for no clear reason; it gets messy if you need to move money, to undo it you must book an appointment today. All of it is expensive and too complicated

Disappointing Service After 5 Years as a Customer
As a Sparkasse customer for more than five years, I'm badly let down by how I was treated lately. Though I have been loyal and careful with my account, I was refused a small Dispo because they said too much has happened in the past. That claim isn't true. I have never overdrawn, and all my bills ... As a Sparkasse customer for more than five years, I'm badly let down by how I was treated lately. Though I have been loyal and careful with my account, I was refused a small Dispo because they said too much has happened in the past. That claim isn't true. I have never overdrawn, and all my bills have always been paid on time. What stings more is the not knowing and the poor communication. When I sent questions in writing, I got no reply or was told my letter never came, though I sent it by registered mail, which shows it was delivered today. From reading other Trustpilot reviews, I see I'm not alone in this mess. Many report similar bad service and slow replies. If it could be helped, I would rate Sparkasse 0 stars instead of 1. The overall service has been a real disaster. Sparkasse, I expect more from a place that talks about great customer care and trust. I just want fair talk, honest steps, and a fast answer next time, not more excuses, ever from Sparkasse, please.

Had I the chance, I'd give no stars at all. I found a card from this bank on the street and, in good faith, I called Sparkasse to ask what I should do. The English speaking service immediately sends you to a German menu that leads nowhere. I tried three times and gave up. The operators were rude ... Had I the chance, I'd give no stars at all. I tried three times and gave up. The operators were rude and clearly don't care about their customers. I'm glad I'm with a different bank and won't trust Sparkasse again. Finger weg, as they say in Germany.

I don’t really know about banking…
Not sure how banks work, yet I have been with this one forever in Germany. my contract got ended simply because I moved money from my other bank to this one for use. I was even blocked before the time given. This is so unprofessional ( Sparkasse Elmshorn) Thank God there are nicer banks around. T... At first, my card got canceled without a note; not even a text. When I rang the bank, they had no idea I owned a card. Then they shifted the rules for my card and my account without notice. On my break they said a staff member would call back; I heard nothing after that, weeks later. Every call felt wasted, and the promises never showed up. I kept trying, but the line stayed cold, and nothing got fixed. So we will move banks soon. Two years ago my husband asked for a business account, and they refused. When he put his company money into his personal account, he got a stop warning. What do they want him to do, put it under a mattress? Totally unprofessional and not acceptable. We're thinking about switching banks soon.

Bad experience
Today I tried to start a bank account after finishing online signup. The teller spoke German though he could use English. He asked why I chose this bank. Why this branch? Wasn’t there a nearer one for me? Then he asked why I was in Germany. Honestly, I felt he would tell me to leave if he could. ... Today I tried to start a bank account after finishing online signup. The teller spoke German though he could use English. He asked why I chose this bank. Why this branch? Wasn’t there a nearer one for me? Then he asked why I was in Germany. Honestly, I felt he would tell me to leave if he could. Still, I stayed calm and tried to be nice about the mix of cultures, but this place does not feel like a bank for newbies. I went there to open an account. I wonder what comes next and how I’ll be treated, for sure. Maybe next time I will be treated fair and simple there.
