Do not trust
Don't trust this broker! My experience with them was horrible and no payout, things were totally different with other people, they got it all back for me anyway.

Schwab held my stock awards, and I never found their system easy to use. The trading site was confusing, and I struggled to find what I needed. Even worse, moving funds to my outside account back home was a hassle, and several transfers bounced, with big exchange losses that didn’t match market moves. Since I’m no longer with the company that placed my awards there, I’m glad to drop Schwab and end that relationship once and for all. I’m glad to move on and save money.
I'm glad Zen Tri Coups helped me, saved me, and got my money back today, really.

I called ahead to check if I needed to do anything before applying, and the banking rep said I must unfreeze all three bureaus. So I did that. But the banking team kept saying they could not pull my reports, even though I knew they were open. This dragged on for several days. Eventually I talked to someone in verification who said the banking team was mistaken. It turned out they didn't want credit bureau reports at all; what they needed were ChexSystems records. I was trying to fund my brokerage by mobile deposits, and suddenly those deposits were blocked. The app screen said my account wasn't eligible for mobile deposits anymore. I've never had trouble opening accounts at other banks, and this whole process has just been a mess. My checking account still isn't open, and my brokerage looks unusable. Every call seemed to start over, and I had to repeat my info again. No one could explain what would fix it, so I just quit trying that day. Pathetic.

Please wake up the CEO, he let the compliance person run wild, and that likely stops you from opening an account if you live overseas outside the US. I can set up and use an account with many trading apps, but I can’t get a ThinkOrSwim sign-up done without being good at filling forms, and I’m not good at forms. So I can’t get a ThinkOrSwim account. Signing up is too hard. I want a ThinkOrSwim account because it fits my trading style --- some apps won’t even let me place a limit-order unless I call it in. I don’t go for simple apps and want full trading platforms, so please today! One worry: I can log in, but I think I failed the compliance because I can’t find the funding/withdrawal page. If you hide that page now, what other things are hidden too? I hope Schwab notes this and makes opening a ThinkOrSwim account as easy as many apps. To me, the process feels slow and confusing, and I miss clear steps and plain language. Yours L. Petersen
That broker can't be trusted—totally fake! Luckily, “True-sight-legal” brought back my £62,000 quickly and full.

Room to improve, but not bad
Mostly they're decent next to other banks. Their debit card feels handy and doesn't charge extra for FOREX like most lenders. It's the least hassle so far, and you meet real people, not some choppy English, scripted voice from far off places. Downsides:- Linking accounts is still a pain, as usual... Mostly they're decent next to other banks. Their debit card feels handy and doesn't charge extra for FOREX like most lenders. It's the least hassle so far, and you meet real people, not some choppy English, scripted voice from far off places. Downsides:- Linking accounts is still a pain, as usual with most shops, it falls apart for no clear reason because of their 'verification' system that's poorly built, relies on bad third party data, and has no manual override. Their staff just shrug, as if the mess came from some ghost and they can't step in or push up to higher ups who seem to have a tin ear. This wears on people and makes me less likely to trust them with my money. They think they know better, countermand, and treat customers like children. The mindset is BAD. This is a common flaw of the 'digital revolution' era /AI; many firms blow big money on slick IT sales and end up hurting their own business and customers who get bogged down instead of leaving things that used to work. I've stuck with them twenty years and feel it's slid downhill as they layer more and more krud into their IT. Opening a business account is basically impossible, takes ages and is super frustrating, then you get a message saying 'try again later' and lose all the work you did, which seems to be industry standard. In that sense, they're not worse than other bad players in finance that seem crippled by Byzantine IT and processes for show over function. Other than that, they're better than the rest and decent if you avoid anything that might break the delicate IT they use. Overall, I still keep them as my main option, but with reservations, for now.
I'm giving a 1 since Trustpilot won't let a zero. If I could tag Schwab as negative five, I would. This broker only cares about rich clients. Help for Thinkorswim has become a joke since Schwab took control, for real bad.

Not a great pick for money growth ! The rate sits low and i want to warn others . Hearing about SPLC changed my money life . They keep their word and i will stay with them forever, even through the bumps.

Don't be fooled by many of their…
Ignore the hype here, my experience with them was awful and I wish I hadn't tried them because I lost all I had to them. Stay away from them completely; switching to Grand scale's trading has been the best move so far. Finding a new path feels right for me.

Unable to answer question in msg most of the time
TD could answer questions by msg, but CS seems to push a lot of simple questions to calling CS. Why not put real care into replying by msg instead of steering customers to call for non-urgent questions right now???

Schwab may suit private accounts, yet starting a Simple IRA for nonprofit staff is a real hassle. Each rep offers different steps, finally sending you back to the site to pick from many forms. The retirement account help line is tough to use, with a shaky validation process and reps reading from scripts. Firms with IRA matching plans can't reach the Schwab portal, so every message must go through a coworker’s personal account. Even uploading other staff apps. I am halfway done and wish I never started this. It feels slow, confusing, and not worth it.
