Here in Madrid, I’ve found the service quality to be always nice. The staff are friendly and always put in effort to fix the issue. Very professional. I would recommend this place. Thanks Daniel Reed

Helpless support
I misplaced my login data. It took me THREE WEEKS to fix this. Hours on hold. Support was totally useless. (and no, you didn't send me an email. STOP LYING fgs!)

Hopeless
I kept trying to open a new account, only to hit endless site and app bugs. I am quite computer savvy and run several banks and brokerages online. Quite a few careless people never sent me the credit card ZINIA. I won't message ZINIA, but I will contact you since you're in charge of ZNIA. Also I plan to post negative reviews about Open Bank everywhere. And I will tell friends.

Impressive experience
New app and site look nice, security is high, a support agent helped me solve the problem I had when starting my account and spoke English very well (which is rare at most German banks). Quick transfers in/out free, account free with no strings, I’d fully recommend.

I've been living a nightmare with…
OpenBank has turned my days into a mess. On January 24, 2024, I rented a flat through Wunderflats. The lease I signed listed the landlord's bank details, tied to an Open Bank account. On January 24, 2024, I rented a flat through Wunderflats. The lease I signed listed the landlord's bank details, tied to an Open Bank account. On January 26, 2024, I sent the rent for February and March plus the security deposit to that account. On February 1, Wunderflats warned me the landlord was a scam and to contact my bank and the sending bank. I tried calling Open Bank but got no luck. I sent emails and kept dialing, but they wouldn't give me any answer or update. A month has passed, and it's still a nightmare. I sent every document (police report, emails, signed contract, bank details) and police said this was the second scam tied to that OpenBank number. Most importantly, I still haven't gotten my money back. Whenever I call or email for updates, they reply with the same line: 'Thank you for your inquiry. We confirm that it was received properly and will send you our response shortly.' They phoned once saying they'd email the details I should send to my bank, but I never got anything. Now my bank wrote back: 'Unfortunately, I can confirm that despite our several attempts, the recall was unsuccessful. At the moment, there is no further action than Wise can take.' And I still can't reach OpenBank. I trusted the platform to be careful and honest, but now I feel ignored and stuck. I kept all receipts, police papers, and emails, yet every reply is the same empty promise. If OpenBank works like this, I fear others will lose money too. Please, fix this, or help me.
Totally new to Santander Group and the service felt quicker than other banks overall

Forget the travel insurance, it's useless

The card for trips is handy and with the included insurance I figured everything would be fine right?? Yet filing a travel claim tied to that card, under their rules, has been a total ordeal, almost impossible to win at all. You have to dial a number that sends you to a Spanish call desk. They keep you on hold every time you ask for help in English or German. After I finally got a contact email for the claims through that center. They've totally ignored my emails for three weeks. Only an automated reply says they will answer within 24 hours. I called back two weeks later and got no help, they promised to call me the next day. No one ever did, and my emails still got no reply. Now the hotline even hangs up after I pick the right option. This whole setup feels broken and I am tired of chasing answers that never come from them or anyone in this mess today.
