WORST customer service EVER!!

Terrible support, honestly the worst ever!!! waited for a package for six weeks. No replies to emails, no updates... nothing. Money spent, so... goodbye 3500 Danish kroner for nothing. Very annoyed and disappointed truly.

Please assist me soon. I haven’t heard back from you at all. I’ve been with Etsy for about five years; my shop is in good standing. They haven’t given any reason why it’s in holiday mode, and you aren’t replying. I’ve been trying to reach you for ten days now, every day, still no response. Awful experience

Really bad experience. Got scammed twice by profiles Etsy showed with lots of reviews and years of activity. I just can't trust it, which is a shame for the real buyers and sellers using the platform as intended.

Since 2017, I run a small Etsy shop from Jordan, finishing over 5,900 orders and following Etsy’s rules to a T. Then I learned my shop will be shut down on August 5, 2025, because PayPal vanished as a payment option and Etsy Payments don't exist here. I put forward several fair and legal ideas to Etsy, hoping for a simple fix. Using my Payoneer account that is verified, legal here in Jordan and allowed for sellers elsewhere. Move my shop or its manager to a trusted person in the US. Set up a US company to run everything legally. Yet Etsy shot down each idea, gave no real path forward, and showed little care for sellers who helped grow the platform. They refused to let PayPal stay open until a fix could be found. Even though Payoneer is allowed in many places, I have a verified account, they still won't add Payoneer for me. It feels unfair for Etsy to push ahead for years and now drop us without help, simply because of where we live. I hope a fair legal body will hold them to account and stop this wrong against small sellers. I've kept copies of every order, every chat, and every rule I followed. Customers miss our goods and I lose income every day. I hope leaders see this and act, not talk. Small shops hurt when a big rule change hits them hard. I will keep speaking up until fair work returns. That is all I ask.

my first order was two posters for about £80 from etsy ireland, and everyone kept passing me along to someone else who never answered emails or calls. they charged me over £500 for postage and the posters, and I complained, refused items, and sent them back. the seller turned up in Greece, and ke... my first order was two posters for about £80 from etsy ireland, and everyone kept passing me along to someone else who never answered emails or calls. they charged me over £500 for postage and the posters, and I complained, refused items, and sent them back. the seller turned up in Greece, and kept passing blame to Ireland. later I bought a globe (semi precious stone) billed £130 postage, thinking the US seller had added customs charges, only to be told it's not my problem. customs bill was $132 US Dollars, and £92. I refused to pay and the item will be sent back soon. in short, this lot are scam artists galore. this order never showed on my account. luckily PayPal refunded again. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY.

Shopping on Etsy has been nice for me. I think it depends on the seller. I can name these shops: VelizmanDigitalArt, 3LittleDucksShop, KempHandmadeCreation. Everything I bought there matched the descriptions and showed up within the time they said.

Absolute nightmare of a platform
Only a few days into selling, and my account got two suspensions, with no reason given. All the products I listed were mine, not copied, and I did nothing against the rules. That second freeze cost me most of my customers and money, since I was charged refunds from clients’ requests—a mess caused... That second freeze cost me most of my customers and money, since I was charged refunds from clients’ requests—a mess caused by Etsy halting my account! I tried to hire someone to fix it, but I only got auto replies!! And the message said my appeal was denied even though they looked it over. I did not write anything the system wouldn’t allow. So my shop got shut down. Thank God I’m done with them. Total joke!!! The worst thing I’ve ever gone through in my life! Honestly, I wish I never joined that place. It was awful, actually.

This second ban took away the tiny number of customers I had and cash too, since refunds were charged because of a client request—a mess caused by Etsy blocking my account! I tried hiring someone to fix it and all I got were robots! And the note said my appeal was denied even though they looked it over. I NEVER EVEN SENT ANYTHING THE SYSTEM WOULD NOT ALLOW! Then what happened? My shop shut down for good! THANK GOD I’m rid of them What a joke!!! The single worst thing I’ve faced in my life right now!

I asked for repayment for the trouble of changing all my IDs, yet they didn’t reply, then billed me every month and want me to pay to close the account. Here’s my note to my bank fraud team. Hi CBA Scam and Fraud Team, It’s clear Etsy won’t act on this scam from the below e-mail. They only marked the yellow messages - see screenshots from the earlier e-mail. after I reported this, I deleted all messages including ones from the real Etsy to wipe evidence. Since then I have tried to change my drivers licence number; I need to report this to the police and get an event number. The police can’t do this without some proof from CBA - the 2 attempts at access to Netbank and the failed transfers. The process is the same for everyone. If CBA works with the police, a better chance of a result. Please send me the information I need to report this to the police. I feel exposed and tired of the runaround and want strong action from all sides so this stops hurting others. Please take action soon.

The cops can't do this without proof from CBA - the 2 tries to log in to NetBank and the failed transactions at all. The steps are the same for all of us. Bad bad bad company. Not the seller, Etsy!
Running a shop here. My gripe is with Etsy as a company. I feel so stuck. Etsy keeps docking me for late ships, even though every package goes out on time. I have five-star scores on those orders. Skip this place, especially if you sell stuff. They charge a listing fee, then pause your shop without any notice, and after roughly two weeks they shut your account, leaving you out money with no heads up or reply ever.

Zeer slechte klantenservice en echt slechte regels! Ze blokkeren je zonder reden en geven geen duidelijke uitleg. Hun klantenservice is onvriendelijk en als je reageert, krijg je soms helemaal geen vervolg. Reden blokkeren is onduidelijk; ik wilde iets bestellen en gebruikte een VPN, waardoor bet... Zeer slechte klantenservice en echt slechte regels! Ze blokkeren je zonder reden en geven geen duidelijke uitleg. Hun klantenservice is onvriendelijk en als je reageert, krijg je soms helemaal geen vervolg. Reden blokkeren is onduidelijk; ik wilde iets bestellen en gebruikte een VPN, waardoor betalen niet mogelijk was. Via live chat zei een medewerker dat betalen wel zou kunnen, maar nadat ik mijn cookies had gewist werkte het nog steeds niet en werd ik geblokkeerd. Nu heb ik gevraagd om de exacte reden en om mijn account weer actief te maken. Ze houden zich niet aan Europese regels met hun manier van handelen en, als er geen reactie komt, wordt er gesproken over het melden bij de Europese toezichthouder. Ik vind dit een ernstige misser en voel me machteloos. De afhandeling voelt traag, de communicatie is chaotisch en er wordt niets concreets beloofd. Er is geen transparantie over wat er fout ging en waarom, wat het vertrouwen ondermijnt. Ik hoop dat ze dit verbeteren: duidelijke redelijkheid bij blokkades, betere uitleg en snellere antwoorden. Tot die tijd is dit voor mij een reden om verder geen zaken met hen te willen doen en om anderen hiermee te waarschuwen. After chatting with a support agent, the person said I should be able to pay, but after I cleared my cookies it still did not work and I was blocked. I have now asked them for the exact reason and for my account to be reactivated. They do not follow European law in the way they act, and if there is no reply they have said they will report the situation to the European supervisory authority. To make it worse, I tried from different devices and networks, but nothing changed. I asked for a clear rule they use, and I asked them to lift the block so I could finish my purchase. The agent promised to check, but no real update came. I kept getting short replies that felt cold and distant. Because of this, I feel the whole process was unfair and wasteful. I told them I would go higher if necessary and warned them about possible complaints to consumer groups. The result is a broken checkout and a mood of distrust that sticks around long after the call ends. I expected real help, not more blocks, and I hope they fix this for future buyers. So others won't suffer.

After a live chat with a support agent, they said I should be able to pay, but after clearing my cookies it still didn’t work and I was blocked. I’ve asked them for the exact reason and to reactivate my account. They don’t follow European law in how they act, and if there’s no reply I will report this to the European regulator. Also, the responses felt short and cold, and they seemed to rush me off the chat. I asked for a real explanation and a clear way to restore access, but there was no clear answer. I tried emailing and they still gave no useful help. It’s like they hide behind delays and excuses. I expected simple service, not a wall of rules. The VPN note might be an issue, but a quick fix should have been possible or at least a real note about the policy. Instead I got slow replies, empty promises, and an account left blocked. This leaves me frustrated and unsure how to proceed. If this keeps up, customers will move to other shops with fair rules. Please explain the real reason, unlock my account, and respect EU rules. Let me shop again with trust, or I’ll switch to others very soon.

Terrible service all around. Their team showed clear inefficiency which led to my item being pulled, a baseless claim that it wasn't real was made. The item is real and verified, but no one can talk about it today

Outrageously bad customer service

Really poor service from the team. Their staff showed clear incompetence, which led to one item being pulled, a bogus claim that it wasn't real. It is real and properly authenticated, but no one will talk about it anyway.

Utterly poor customer help. Blatant staff errors led to one item being removed, a baseless claim that the item wasn’t real was made. It is real and also authenticated, but no one is available to discuss it right now

Really poor service here. The staff messed up and took one of my items away, saying it wasn't real when it is real and has papers. Still, no one is free to talk about it with me right now.
