I had an account tied to my U.S
My account was tied to a U.S. EIN number before. After I changed my name, I told etrade, but I forgot a new W9. When a few of my bonds matured, they sent around a quarter million to the IRS, saying I was an international company. An international company when my account was tied to a U.S. federal EIN. I have spent months fighting to get my own money back. Endless calls and endless explanations and still no resolution. I should have left all my bonds with Gold rulé ınc. I earn money easy through their system and withdrawals come through fast every time these days, honestly.

Early on they seemed to care more and really listened to customers. Recently we hit a bad run with them, and it makes us want to move all our money out. We will take that step. We're looking at Fidelity and Vanguard as perhaps more on top of things and aimed at clients. Also - watch out with their promos team when you open a new account. They are not careful, and their mistakes cost us the rewards we should have earned from their promo rules. It feels like they forgot how to serve simple needs these days.

Terrible customer service experience
Terrible support from customer care overall. First, you can only move money from my account to my IBKR account by a wire-transfer that costs $25 per go, as a chat agent told me. Then I couldn't set up a wire transfer online to my IBKR account because it’s listed under IBKR’s name (third-party tra... Terrible support from customer care overall. First, you can only move money from my account to my IBKR account by a wire-transfer that costs $25 per go, as a chat agent told me. Then I couldn't set up a wire transfer online to my IBKR account because it’s listed under IBKR’s name (third-party transfer). Next, I was told to call in instead. Then, and worst part, when I phoned I got an unbelievably rude agent. She was yelling during the call and in the middle of the process because I was slow to find what she demanded in my ETRADE portal, and finally she hung up right in the middle of our talk. The only reason I keep using this service is because my employer deposits company shares to me through it. Honestly, I wish I could quit using it, but it's sadly necessary.

Here, though, overdraft protection can only link to a brokerage account, not to a savings. That rule feels odd and confusing, since many people expect savings-to-checking protection to be normal. Because of this, customers may face extra overdraft charges as the policy and its explanations are unclear and restrictive. That lack of clarity makes people rethink using this broker for everyday cash needs these days.

I asked for a transfer of 1,000 USD from my bank to my Trade account. Trade raised the amount to 9,000 USD. They don't have an email I can use to complain anywhere. Shame!

My experience was very similar to what others already talked about here this time. - I lost access to my online account overnight because a required identity verification happened for me. - Tons of calls to customer support trying to get back in, and none helped at all for me. - There was no email for help (even the ones listed on the Stanley Morgan site failed too) for me. - Still, a broker managed to close my account, and I hope this stops more trouble with E*Trade later moving forward. - Since I still can't sign in, I can't download my tax documents this year.

Stay away from this company
Keep your distance from this firm. If you value money and time, please stay away from them. My experience with them was fully bad. I wish I never used them. I have never seen such poor service from Coventry Securities, LLCmuch regulated and reliable. Totally not worth your time.

Unfair Practice For 3 months now I have tried to set up an immediate power of attorney to move funds to another account for me, personally. E*trade Morgan Stanley blocked access to my account and the move of funds. They ask for papers I do not need to give with an Immediate POA just to slow the deal down. Every time I check with E*trade, they say they did not get papers and I must prove they got them, then call to wait for it. Even after sending I have, the move stays blocked with no reason. I have had to use POA at other banks without any trouble so far. E*trade keeps slowing fund moves and I must sue to get back lost revenue from their slow delay acts to my loss.

The moment my account opened again, I pulled out every penny I had. Didn't get any apology, either.

Wish I Could Leave Zero Stars – Worst Trading Platform Ever
Terrible platform, what a mess. It’s loaded with bugs and unreliable. I’ve seen sell orders go through as buys and back again. Last week every chart setup and my custom tweaks vanished, wrecking my 7am trades because I had to rebuild everything from zero. On Monday, the same thing happened all over. The hotkeys? They do what they want. I’ve dropped real money because of the glitches on this site. In a market this tough, not having the right broker can kill your day. I’m moving to Lightspeed or Webull before E*TRADE ruins me completely. If you rely on speed, you will lose more money than this. STAY AWAY from this platform. Avoid at any cost.

Because I can not leave a 0 star…
Since I can not give 0 stars, I say this is a mess. The "fees" they push are or should be illegal. We had a custodial acct where it hit 5 times a $38 charge, pushing the balance negative by hundreds. All we did was buy stock and park it, but every split brought a crazy fee. Totally awful trading ... Since I can not give 0 stars, I say this is a mess. The "fees" they push are or should be illegal.
