I got scammed as well
I got fooled too. I cant see why Paddle teams up with these scammers. They ought to vet their partners more closely in my opinion.

I will also dispute the charge with my bank and PayPal to block it. Be aware these actions have brought big fines in similar cases, and I will take all legal steps needed without hesitation. If you continue, I will file formal complaints and spread the warning to others online everywhere.
Like many have shared, I hit the wrong button and enrolled via a popup while I was on another site, and Paddle refused to refund me. I hope this note helps keep others from tripping over the same trap. That I fell into.

How I got a refund for this scam
Purely a scam, as I saw it. After days of pushback, Paddle.net finally sent a full refund and stopped my plan. Maybe you’ll face another big fine like that FDC one?" That would teach them not to stall.
SCAM!! DO NOT BUY. Totally misleads buyers to think it's ChatGPT.

Would have helped to know this earlier before my yearly plan payment. Like others here, I learned this wasn’t what I expected. I also wanted to test the image maker, and they added it to my plan without telling me the cost. I paid using a Paypal credit, thinking I was safe. I tried to cancel and ... I tried to cancel and get a refund after two hours and was refused. I filed disputes with Paypal, and they ruled for the seller. A poor experience all around. I may also end my 25 year tie with Paypal over this. It makes me doubt their claim of buyer protection today.
This site is a scam. It tries to pose as the real ChatGPT site.

I don't even have a chatGPT anymore
Turns out I still don't use chatGPT, and I cut the service ages ago, but that was real. Then suddenly a weird fee shows up on my card and a message from chatbot.app with a bill attached. not opening it, but wow what a mess, really

Misleading subscription – I thought I was paying for ChatGPT
I joined ChatbotApp Image Generation Pack Yearly through Paddle on 10 July 2025. It seemed I signed up for ChatGPT by OpenAI, but I paid $59.99 and got no service, no refund.

This seem fake, not a real Ai company. Stay away from it. I lost 59.99$ on junk. I hope the subskription is canceled and card charges stop later.

I searched for Claude and the page popped up as a sponsored at the top of Google. I clicked it, sure it was the legit Claude site. The yearly price—under eighty bucks—felt appealing, so I signed up. I clicked it, sure it was the legit Claude site. The yearly price—under eighty bucks—felt appealing, so I signed up. But right after paying, I saw something off. The interface looked odd, and after a closer look I knew this wasn’t Claude. I had been deceived. I asked for a refund immediately, before ever using the service. Paddle.net answered with the same bot replies, repeating the same messages over and over. Three weeks slipped by, and nothing got fixed. This site feels evil. Stay far away. ------ It is now August 14, 2025. Here is the progress update. After posting this note (not sure if paddle.net saw it), I got an email from paddle.net and a refund on August 4. I didn’t do anything else, so I think this post helped. I’m really grateful. Too many scams like this pop up, so I’m glad I spoke up and stuck with it until they fixed it. Hope others dodge this trap.

No refund, no product, and what I saw was a half baked crap shoot. Totally frustrating and unfair overall.
